On Sunday, January 26th, I will be hosting a net for the 145 Alive amateur radio event, representing the South Lancs Amateur Radio Club on the frequency of 145.550 MHz as the net controller. My name is Stu, with the callsign M7SPI, and I am located in Wigan, with a locator of IO83QN.
The event will take place from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
During the event, I will allow five check-ins at a time, followed by a quick round-robin discussion among the stations.
When checking in, please provide your name and callsign both alphabetically and phonetically, along with your location and locator square. If you are unsure of your Maidenhead locator square, you can find it online at https://www.whatsmylocator.co.uk.
After the initial five check-ins, I will facilitate a conversation among those stations before inviting five more check-ins.
I will repeat the currently logged check-ins and inquire if others would like to engage in a QSO with each other.
If you encounter any difficulties with callsigns or names, please feel free to return the conatact or conversation to me, Stu – M7SPI, and I will either assist you or pass the turn to the next station if you require.
