DVSwitch has a Dashboard, that can be accessed via a web browser. To access this you need the IP address of the RPi or computer you are using, which for most home networks will be something akin to 192.168.xxx.xxx
The IP address can be obtained in a variety of ways.
On the RPi or computer you have installed DVSwitch, open a terminal window and type in
ifconfig
then enter
You will see a whole page of numbers, however don’t panic, the number you are looking for will be akin to 192.168.xxx.xxx
If using a network cabled RPi look for the entry that starts eth0:
If using the RPi via WiFi look for the entry that starts wlan0:
You can also find the IP address of the RPi from your internet router, how to access that is beyond the scope of this document.
Open a web browser and type in the IP address of the RPi directly into the address field.
A good aid to testing the system is to connect to a random TG such as 1234, enable the RX Monitor (top of screen) then transmit. You should hear your own transmission.
Don’t get too close to the receiving speakers or you will hear an echo like effect. Please do NOT test like this on an allocated TG, such as 235, 92 etc unless you want to be very unpopular.
